Today I will be sharing my thoughts and feelings since mom announced she was pregnant! This blog post is pretty LONG so it will be broken into parts. Here is part 1!
At first, I was really excited and didn't know whether to believe it or not. It was very surprising! I got so excited that a few days after she told us about the baby, I made mom go shopping with me because I'm that kind of person!
A few months later, We went to Target to do the baby registry for the baby shower. We found ADORABLE stuff! And apparently at Target if you are pregnant and do a registry, they give you a cute goodie bag! It comes with a bottle, a very small pack of diapers, a few other essentials, and free samples. When we got back home, I showed Dad what we got. I kept squealing after everything I showed, including breastfeeding stuff, because I was just too excited! And then something awesome happened. Dad said since I was so excited, we could find out the GENDER!!! I got even more excited that my body could have exploded happiness.
So, when the next ultrasound came around, Dad got the envelope that either said "Girl" or "Boy." Dad wanted a boy, because I am "his only girl." Mom and I wanted a girl, and Riley, of course, wanted a boy. We decided that it would be fun to have the reveal at our Halloween party, because all of our friends would be there. We tore the box of balloons open, and, IT'S A BOY! I have to admit, I was a teeny tiny, tiny bit bummed. I wanted a sister, not because I'm a girl, but because I LOVE dressing up little girls. And because I already know what it's like to have a brother. But now, I am in love with Remy.
I think that concludes part 1 of, "What it's like to Have a New Baby in the Family!" Stay tuned for part 2.
