Hi. Again. This week has been crazy. Just crazy. And not in a super good way, either.
It all started about 2 weeks ago, when Dad got sick. He didn't have a fever, but he claimed he was in excruciating pain. Mom thought it was his gull bladder, because she felt that way before and had to get her's removed. So, Dad decided to go to the hospital Sunday night. That was our first hospital visit. Anyway, Dad was fine, and we went back to living our normal lives.
A couple of days later, everything went downhill from there. Dad texted me during my 4th period English class, telling me that Mom and him were taking Remy to the hospital, because he had been barfing everywhere, and they were afraid he was dehydrated. Dad also told me that me and Riley had to go home with our aunt, who is a teacher at our school. So, after school ended I had to pick up Riley from his class (I get out 10 minutes before he does), and I took him up to our aunt's classroom. She took us to her house, and me and Riley started our homework. When we finished we put on the live-action Aladdin, which is amazing by the way, and just chilled. Oh, and I forgot to mention, but it was Riley's birthday, and it was a Wednesday. Just so you know. Anyway, since it was his birthday, and we also had church that night, we decided to get some Dunkin Donuts to celebrate, since Riley is allergic to eggs and can't have cake. Remember that. So, our cousin Shayli took us to Dunkin Donuts and we went to our house to change out of our school uniforms, and then headed on over to church.
Everything was fine. I was hanging with my friends, Riley was playing around with his buddies, and then we had some pizza. The pizza didn't have egg, so that was good. We had our little devo, and then it was time for dessert. The donuts. Now, I need to explain something. When we lived in Florida, we used to eat these donuts all the time, and Riley never had a reaction to them. Riley had always eaten the chocolate and glazed donuts. They ran out of the glazed donuts, so we got some powdered and blueberry ones. Riley ate a chocolate one, and licked the powdered one to see if it was ok. I was in the other room, but I heard Shayli tell Riley to call our mom. I knew something was not right. Keep in mind, Remy, Mom, and Dad were still at the hospital. I asked what was wrong, and Shayli told me that Riley claimed his mouth tasted like Tylenol. I started to worry he was having an allergic reaction, but he told me other than that he was fine. Even though he looked as pale as a ghost and wanted to cry, SURE everything was fine. Then we all started to worry, and were thinking about taking him to the hospital. I told my aunt and uncle they needed to because he his deadly allergic, but since I'm 12 years old they thought I didn't know what I was doing, and didn't listen to me. Bruh. Anyway, my uncle looked up the ingredients to the donuts, and it said they had egg. Still, they wouldn't take him to the hospital, even though I was yelling at them about it. Finally, they took him and I was pretty much at church by myself. I was ranting on and on to my best friend telling him how mad and terrified I was, knowing my entire family was now at the hospital, and how I just felt alone.
When worship service started, I told my cousin, Hayden, and his girlfriend, Erin, what had happened. They let me sit with them, and I was just mad and scared out of my mind. Then I went to bible class, an ran into my other cousin. I know, a lot of cousins. She hugged me because she knew I was terrified, and she felt my head, and said I was burning up. I told her I'll be fine, and I went to class. After class, however, I didn't know who I was going home with. My aunt and uncle had taken Riley to the same hospital that Remy and my parents were at, and the doctors put them in the same room. So, my aunt and uncle left the hospital and they took me back to my house. We just chilled there, and by the next few minutes, Dad and Remy were home, (Riley and Mom came home much later) and I went to bed. But that was just day 1.
