Hey peeps! I'm sorry I haven't been posting that much, I have been traveling a LOT lately.
Anyway, last week I stayed in North Carolina for 6 days! Did I mention that our parents and baby brother weren't with us? YES! Also, the first 2 days we didn't do anything except drive to North Carolina, just in case you were confused why I didn't write the first 2 days.
When we woke up the next morning, Grammie said we were going to go mining! I thought that sounded like a lot of fun. And by mining, we don't mean a pickaxe in one hand and a flashlight in the other, while underground hitting rocks. You will see how it works in a minute. I just wanted to throw this in here, but whenever we would drive somewhere, which was literally everyday, I loved looking at the mountains. They are so pretty! Sometimes, there would be deer and otters running around! Anyway, when we arrived at the mining place, out front they had a little place were you would stand or sit at, and the thing was filled with water. In front of you, they had a place where you would put the buckets of dirt. Me and Riley both got the small buckets. Then, you had to scoop the dirt onto a panning tray and shake it. The dirt would fall into the water, while bigger gems would stay on the tray! It was so much fun!
Then we headed on over to Zaxby's for dinner. They have really yummy food, so I was excited to go and eat there! Riley has an anaphylactic egg allergy, so we texted Mom and asked her what he gets, because he has been there before, we just all forgot what he gets. Mom said grilled cheese with fries. So we ended up getting that for him. When we all started to eat, Riley looked kind of nauseous. I asked him what was wrong, and he said he was fine. I kept bugging him bout it because I knew something was wrong and he was definitely hiding something. Eventually, he later told us he had a stomach ache. So Grandpa took him to the bathroom. When they walked out of the bathroom and sat back down on the table, Riley said he wasn't able to go. Now, keep in mind that when he does have an allergic reaction, most of the time it isn't a stomach ache. Instead, his throat bothers him. We decided to go back to the hotel, and when we got back, the second we got out of the car, he said his throat was feeling weird. And thats how we ended up in the ER until 1 am!
